Where’s the recipe?

Here at My Crazy Good Life we like to make sure that anyone can follow the recipes we create–whether you’re brand new to the kitchen or you’ve been cooking for a while.

If you’re in need of some detailed ingredient information, recipe tips, and cooking instructions, I recommend reading the article below before making this recipe.

If you’d like to skip past that information and get cooking, simply scroll to the bottom of the page to find the easy to print recipe for these Air Fryer Ranch Turkey Burgers.

Ingredients in Air Fryer Ranch Turkey Burgers:

  • Ground Turkey: Much lower in saturated fat than ground beef. I like 90% lean.
  • Homemade Ranch Seasoning: I make homemade ranch mix in bulk using garlic salt, onion powder, black pepper, parsley, and dill. The store bought variety had a lot of unsavory ingredients, and I’ve been using my homemade recipe for years.
  • Feta Cheese: A soft and salty cheese used in Mediterranean cooking. You can skip this ingredient if you don’t care for cheese, or swap it with equal parts of a different type of cheese if you’d like.
  • Red Onion: A less inflammatory and less pungent onion that I often use in cooking. If you don’t have red onion, you can use any other color.

How to make juicy Turkey Burgers in the Air Fryer:

This is an easy recipe for busy weeknights! The hot air in the air fryer acts like a convection oven, cooking these burgers quickly without drying them out.

  1. In a large bowl combine the fresh ground turkey, chopped red onions, feta cheese, and homemade dry ranch dressing mix.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and form into burger patties.
  3. Place patties into the air fryer basket in a single layer. If you typically spray oil in your fryer, I prefer olive oil.
  4. Cook at 360 degrees (or medium-high heat, depending on what your options are with your air fryer) for 30 minutes, flipping after 15 minutes.
  5. The turkey burgers are done when they are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165º on a meat thermometer. The cooking time can change based on your air fryer–this is just a guide.
  6. Place burgers on your favorite bun and enjoy!

Recipe Tips:

  • You can swap the ground turkey meat for ground chicken or ground beef, but be aware that the cooking times could change. If you’re looking for a super juicy burger I’d recommend getting 70 or 80% fat free ground turkey instead of 90%. If you’re confused, ask the butcher at your local grocery store for advice.
  • You can switch out feta for any cheese you prefer. Sometimes I use blue cheese, or even Gruyere. More of a cheddar cheese fan? That’s ok too! This is a super basic turkey burger recipe. Don’t stress!
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. I don’t often salt my recipes when cooking so that my readers can add their own based on personal preferences.
  • If you’d like to freeze these, I recommend making the uncooked turkey patties, flattening them, then freezing individually. I’ve found the best way to cook after freeing is to thaw the frozen burgers before cooking for the best results.
  • Store leftover burgers in an airtight container and keep in the fridge. Leftovers will last 5 days or so.
  • Top these delicious air fryer turkey burgers with your favorite burger toppings:
    • ketchup and mustard
    • homemade Tzatziki sauce
    • sautéed mushrooms and onions
    • fresh vegetables like lettuce, tomato slices, extra onions
  • Serve these burgers with:

Hi Becca, is the cook time the same for oven style air fryers? I have a Pampered Chef brand.

    1. Sara Anderson says:

Hmm, it should be the same if it’s an air fryer. Maybe check on it a little sooner, just to be sure?

OMG, this was absolutely delicious. I have to say, I’m actually scared of ground turkey and chicken. I accidentally took it out of the freezer to thaw. Thought I had ground beef but thought it looked different. Of course, later I saw I had written on each bag. Anyways, I put a handful of shredded Tex mex light cheese instead of the feta. Air fryer was fantastic! Game changer. So good and fit into my weight watcher meal plan too! Thanks for the great recipe!

    1. Yay! I’m so glad you like them, and I’m glad you liked the ground turkey/chicken!
