Healthy Ranch Pretzels
We all need snacking options. Even on a healthy lifestyle plan we get cravings, right? Well these healthy ranch pretzels give you savory, crunch, and the satisfaction of a snack without being unhealthy!
Having healthy snack choices on hand makes life so much easier for meal prep, meal planning, and sticking to your goals!
Are these ranch pretzels a healthy snack recipe?
Yes! These ranch pretzels make an awesome healthy snack recipe…the great news is that the whole family will love them and you can feel good about everyone enjoying them.
I love when there are snack choices that I can enjoy and serve to the whole family. Sometimes dieting or a healthy eating plan can feel restrictive. No one likes to make two batches of dinner, snacks, etc. and least of all, me. So I don’t! I focus on healthy recipes like these ranch pretzels and then it’s two boxes off the checklist with one recipe!
How to make healthy ranch pretzels:
- Preheat oven to 325F
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Place the pretzels in a large bowl.
- Melt the coconut oil or butter and pour over the pretzels. Stir to coat.
- Mix all spices together in a small bowl and then sprinkle over the pretzels, stirring to coat.
- Turn the pretzels out onto the baking sheet and distribute in an even layer.
- Bake for 10 minutes until the coconut oil has absorbed.
- Allow to cool completely before storing.
Air Fryer Directions:
- Place in air fryer basket and bake for 5 minutes, then toss to move them around, then 5 minutes until coconut oil has absorbed.
Can I have these healthy ranch pretzels on Portion Fix?
For Portion Fix these healthy ranch pretzels are a yellow treat swap. About 14 pretzels fit in a yellow container and that’s how I couldn’t these for Portion Fix.
Weight Watchers Points
I count these as about 6-7 points depending on how many pretzels I eat. Mini pretzels are a great snack for Weight Watchers. 15-20 of them are 3 points depending on the brand. All of the seasonings are free in these small amounts so the only other thing we need to count is the butter or coconut oil. I usually count that at about 5 Blue, Green, and Purple Points per serving.
For the new 2023 Plan, each serving is about 15 points – so this isn’t something I’d eat often while trying to lose weight on WW.
I always suggest calculating for yourself as you make them to be sure you are getting an accurate idea. Occasionally I make these in just one single batch and I use 1 Tbsp butter and the I sprinkle on the seasoning blend that I keep mixed up and ready to go! it’s an easier way to accurately track my points and be sure I’m not over or under estimating!
Are these healthy ranch pretzels 21 Day Fix friendly?
They sure are! You can have 14 pretzels for 1 Yellow Container Treat Swap. That means you can pre portion these out for snacking and treats throughout the week. They are nice to have on hand for when those cravings strike!
How do these healthy ranch pretzels fit into 2B Mindset?
These healthy ranch pretzels are a good choice for a snack or silly carb on 2B Mindset. Like all the other programs they require some moderation. For 14 pretzels I’d say count it as a snack or silly carb. But they are made of approved ingredients for a snack served in moderation!
Do you have other healthy snacking options?
I do! I have to have good snacks on hand. If I don’t, I’ll fall right off my healthy lifestyle plan and go back to eating all kinds of stuff that not’s great for me or my goals. Here are some awesome snack recipes to try!
