If you’ve missed it, you will definitely want to make a batch of Carne Asada so you can use it for all kinds of different recipes. These are the easiest carne asada tostadas ever and that’s because my carne asada recipe is quick, simple, and delicious.
I use this one carne asada recipe to make a bunch of different meals. It’s great for enchiladas, tacos, and even burrito bowls. The best part is that the whole family loves it, having such a versatile meat prepped and ready to go means healthy meals all week long!
Are these Carne Asada Tostadas high in calories?
They’re not super high in calories in the grand scheme of the entire day but beef is naturally high in calories. The corn tortillas are also going to add calories. Each serving is about 397 calories.
You can cut down calories by reducing the amount of meat you use on each tostada, bulking up the servings with veggies like lettuce and tomatoes, and you can use lower calorie alternatives for the sour cream as well!
What can I serve with these carne asada tostadas?
These make a nice little meal by themselves but you can always add things like homemade salsa. Avocado Mango Salad, easy Spanish rice, or Mexican sweet corn cake would all be excellent choices as well.

Making Carne Asada Tostadas Low Carb / Keto:
If you are doing a low carb or Keto diet you can make these healthy carne asada tostadas lower in carbs by replacing the beans and the tortillas with a lower carb alternative.
At about 26 grams of carbs per serving these are a little too high for a Keto diet as is, but with some creative alterations you can make it work. The beef itself can be served over lower carb veggies or with a cauliflower crust kind of base.
How to make Carne Asada Tostadas:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place the corn tortillas on a baking sheet and spray or brush lightly with the olive oil.
- Bake the tortillas for 8-10 minutes until they are crispy and hard like tostadas.
- Remove the tortillas from the oven. Spread 1 tbsp of yogurt on each tortilla to hold the meat and beans to the tostada.
- Add 2 tbsp of beans to the tostada. Then add meat, lettuce, and tomatoes to the tostada. Top with cilantro and onions and hot sauce if desired.

My healthy carne asada tostadas (as written) are 6 Blue Plan Points / 7 Green Plan Points / 6 Purple Plan Points per serving.
You can lower that by using fat free Greek yogurt, serving them over lettuce instead of on tortillas, and by using a very low fat steak. You can also skip the olive oil as tortillas will, for the most part, get crunchy and baked properly without it.

Tostadas:
- 4 corn tortillas
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp Greek yogurt plain, 2%
- 1/2 cup black beans canned
- 3 cups carne asada
- 2 cups romaine lettuce chopped
- 1 tomato roma, diced
- 1 tbsp cilantro chopped
- 1 tbsp onions chopped
Hot Sauce:
- 1 tbsp enchilada sauce
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
