Ingredients:
- onion, chopped or minced
- parsley
- onion powder
- turmeric
- celery seed
- salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Mix all of the ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

This entire recipe comes out to about 6 Weight Watchers Freestyle Smart Points. Divide the recipe as you see fit and don’t forget to count any ingredients that you might add once you use the mix! - About 1/3 cup of this homemade onion soup mix equals one packet of store bought soup mix.

- ¾ cup onion chopped or minced
- 3 tsp parsley
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp turmeric
- kosher salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- ½ tsp celery seed
Instructions
- Mix all of the ingredients together and store in an airtight container. ¾ cup onion, 3 tsp parsley, 2 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp turmeric, kosher salt, ground black pepper, ½ tsp celery seed
- Note: About 1/3 cup equals one packet of store bought onion soup mix.

Hi Becca. I’m curious. Are the onions in this recipe dehydrated like in the store bought versions? The pictures look like it’s dehydrated. And if we are using fresh onions, I’m assuming we store it in the refrigerator? Thanks for clarifying and thank you for posting this recipe.
Hi Katie, yes – all of the ingredients are dried. If you do need to use fresh onion, I’d refrigerate it :)
