Ingredients in Pumpkin Pie Wonder Whip

  • Pumpkin Puree: Be sure to purchase the plain canned pumpkin puree, not the one with the pumpkin pie or pumpkin spice included. The good news is you can purchase pumpkin puree year-round, not just during Fall, ya’ll. That being said, if you have spare pumpkins around you can easily make your own pumpkin puree. 
  • Greek Yogurt: We prefer using 1% fat or nonfat greek yogurt for this recipe. If you enjoy a creamier taste, opt to purchase a higher fat content.
  • Cinnamon: A classic ingredient of all pumpkin desserts. We love the complex flavors of cinnamon and think it is the perfect match for the delicious pumpkin flavor. 
  • Stevia: A pinch of Stevia is optional, you can also add a small drizzle of maple syrup or brown sugar to serve as your sweetener. This recipe is perfect without any additional sweetener in my opinion, but if you do add any be sure to recalculate your healthy eating plan points or containers.

How to Make Pumpkin Pie Wonder Whip

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender, food processor, or small mixing bowl. 
  2. Mix using blender or hand mixer until it is the consistency you prefer. We love the light and fluffy version of Wonder Whip when using the blender. 
  3. If combining by hand, use fork or whisk and a lot of arm strength to combine until fluffy.

Recipe Tips

  • This Pumpkin Pie Wonder Whip is like fall in a bowl. I love using a whisk, but sometimes when I’m feeling a little lazy I just use a fork! These come out perfect in the blender–it really gives it a good whipped consistency, especially if you’ll be using this as a creamy no bake pumpkin pie filling. It all depends on how much time you have and how much effort you want to put into it.
  • Choosing the correct yogurt is key. It depends a lot of your preference. I’m not a big fan of creamy tastes and textures, so I found that 1% or nonfat were best for me. What I really like, though, is Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt. It’s the only yogurt that I can eat straight out of the container.
  • Be aware that the Oikos Triple Zero yogurt doesn’t always have just Stevia in it–I’ve seen in Canada that it contains other sugars, so I’d be aware of that.
  • Remember, artificial sweeteners are not everyone’s friend because they can cause you to crave sugar and hold onto extra weight. Always check the ingredient list to make sure you understand what you’re buying and putting into your body!
  • If you’re on the 21 Day Fix, Oikos Triple Zero with Stevia is allowed (count an extra teaspoon for the Stevia), as is 2% Plain Greek yogurt. You can use either of these in your Wonder Whips, and definitely in this Pumpkin Pie Wonder Whip recipe!
  • We’ve served our Pumpkin Pie Wonder Whip Recipe over a graham cracker crust for a nice chilled dessert. It’s lighter than other dessert options made with cream cheese or heavy cream, and more filling than traditional cool whip recipes. You could also crumble graham crackers on top for a little crunch. Be sure to recalculate healthy eating plan points if you modify the original recipe. 
  • If this is your first time making a Wonder Whip, play around a little with the amount of mixing you do. Next time, blend it a bit longer if you desire a more fluffy outcome. 
  • For a truly authentic Pumpkin Pie flavor, add in 1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice, and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. 
  • Our Wonder Whips are best when eaten and chilled. If you are storing these for later, cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator. Do not serve at room temperature, the greek yogurt needs to be chilled.

If you’re looking for a healthy dessert recipe with no added sugar, Wonder Whips might be your new favorite. They’re no bake, perfect for meal prep, and delicious for breakfast, snacks, or dessert. 

A Wonder Whip is simply yogurt that you flavor yourself. I’ve got 21 ideas below, but the options are endless. And while the sweet Wonder Whips are my preferred recipes, I have a few ideas for savory Wonder Whips as well that are just as delicious.

What is a Wonder Whip?

Wonder Whips are a delicious dessert or snack that was invented by Ilana Muhlstein, the creator of 2B Mindset. It’s essentially a protein packed, whipped yogurt snack that you serve chilled. They are excellent year round and can be eaten like a cup of yogurt, a dip, or even a delicious pie filling that will satisfy your sweet tooth. 

Wonder Whips are a healthy dessert choice, and they’re perfect for eating when on several healthy eating plans – 21 Day Fix / Portion Fix, 2B Mindset, and even Weight Watchers (most whips are about 1 point). I love that they’re easy to customize and since they’re made with a high protein base of tart Greek yogurt, they will help you stay full and satisfied.

Recipe Tips

  • You can store Wonder Whips in the refrigerator for about 5 days, but I honestly think they’re best when you make them up the night before you plan on eating them. 
  • If using Oikos Triple Zero yogurt, you shouldn’t need to add any of the Stevia to them. If you’re using unflavored Greek yogurt, that’s when you’ll want to add a pinch or two of Stevia or even a touch of maple syrup if you prefer. 
  • Whipping these with a small milk frother or a small electric mixer on low speed is perfect, but they’re just as delicious (though not as mousse-like) when you whip them up with a fork. Whipping these isn’t quite like egg whites – there will be no stiff peaks – but you’ll get a slightly creamier consistency than eating traditional Greek yogurt. 
  • There are a few different ways you can personalize these desserts, like by adding cacao nibs or chocolate chips – just be mindful of any healthy eating plan that you’re on before making these changes. 
  • Different brands of yogurt will “whip” up differently. I recommend experimenting to get your favorite texture.
  • The best way I’ve found to make these is to dump the Greek yogurt and other ingredients into mixing bowls and mix together, then return to the yogurt cup or your airtight container for storage.

This particular Wonder Whip recipe only contains yogurt, cherries, and a tiny bit of stevia to sweeten it up a bit if necessary! Depending on how sweet your cherries are you might not even need the stevia!

What is Wonder Whip?

Wonder Whip is a tasty, mousse-like, dessert or snack…okay or breakfast or midday treat (the possibilities are endless for this healthy concoction). It’s a yogurt base that you can add fruit, spices, or veggies to in order to create a tasty combination. Wonder Whips were first created by the minds behind 2B Mindset so you can rest assured that these are a healthy alternative to your typical snacking choices.

The great thing about Wonder Whip recipes is that they’re so versatile. You can mix in nearly any approved fruit or veggie to make your own favorite flavors. I’ve been experimenting with all kinds of flavors (you can check them out here) and so far I haven’t found a single one that was bad!

If you don’t like yogurt…

Don’t give up on Wonder Whips even if you don’t typically like yogurt. I’m not a fan either. Oikos Triple Zero Greek was a game changer for me. It’s the only kind I can eat straight out of the container so I really enjoy using it for my Wonder Whip recipes.

Other 21 Day Fixers have said that ricotta cheese will work as well…I haven’t tried this so I can’t say for sure, you could give it a go if you really don’t want to use yogurt.

Try adding stevia before you give up on the yogurt option. I found that with some of the more bitter recipes a little stevia can go a long way and it helps take the bite away from the plain yogurt!

Can I use any kind of yogurt?

If you are on the 21 Day Fix or 2B Mindset program you can use the Oikos Triple Zero Greek (as long as it contains Stevia and not other artificial ingredients) or 2% Plain Greek yogurt.

For those of you who are not on a restrictive plan and just eating healthy, you can choose whatever type of yogurt suits you best…but remember to check ingredients because artificial sweeteners can impact your weight loss and create cravings!

Ways to make cherry Wonder Whip…

It all depends how much effort you want to put into a Wonder Whip recipe. You can go as simple as using a fork and whipping together all the ingredients by hand or you can throw everything into a blender, stand mixer, or even the food processor to get a really creamy texture.

Depending on how long you whip them the consistency will change a bit so if you want a pie filling texture I’d recommend a mixer or blender so you can get a more thick and mousse-like consistency.

Apple cinnamon Wonder Whip is like the best parts of all your favorite fall desserts in one! Apples and cinnamon were just made for each other and this Wonder Whip recipe is quick, easy, and oh so tasty. It’ll keep in the fridge for a few days (up to a week) so you can even whip up a larger batch to have on hand for breakfast, snacking, and desserts.

What is Wonder Whip?

Wonder Whip was created as part of the 2B Mindset world. Like 21 Day Fix, 2B Mindset is a healthy eating program through Beachbody! Of course, when Wonder Whip first made an appearance it was a huge hit! It’s delicious, creamy, and hugely customizable! There are so many amazing flavor combinations out there, I’ve shared quite a few (you can find here). There are savory options you can use for dipping veggies or chips as well as sweet options that can be used for pie filling, dessert, or snacking.

What is in Apple Cinnamon Wonder Whip?

Like most of my Wonder Whip recipes there are just a few simple ingredients in this Apple Cinnamon Wonder Whip. The ingredients are 21 Day Fix and 2B Mindset friendly! These are wholesome, natural ingredients that you can pronounce! Yogurt, apples, and cinnamon…it doesn’t get easier than that right?

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

What kind of yogurt should I use in Wonder Whip recipes?

When you are making Wonder Whip recipes it’s important to choose a great yogurt for your base. This is less important if you are not on 21 Day Fix or 2B Mindset. I always think quality ingredients are important but those of you who are just eating healthy and not following a specific plan will have less restrictions!! For me, I use 1% or non-fat. My go-to yogurt is Oikos Triple Zero Greek. It’s one of the only kinds of yogurt that I can actually eat right out of the container!

Remember that artificial sweeteners are a no-no on the 21 Day Fix (in general they’re not that great for you and can cause cravings) so make sure to avoid them. Keep an eye on the ingredients in your yogurt as the ingredients can vary in different countries and in different types or brands.

Anyone on the 21 Day Fix can have the Oikos Triple Zero which is sweetened with Stevia. You can also have 2% plain greek yogurt, either will be delicious in this Apple Cinnamon Wonder Whip!

Can I use something else besides yogurt?

Here’s the thing…I hate yogurt for the most part too. BUT these kinds of Wonder Whip recipes have really opened up my palette to yogurt. Give it a chance first because whipping the yogurt with the flavorings can really change the texture and taste. You might find that Apple Cinnamon Wonder Whip is delicious despite the yogurt :) I haven’t tired making them with any other main ingredient but other users have said cottage cheese works too! Sweetening the yogurt with stevia helps so try that before you give up on the yogurt!

The great thing about Wonder Whip recipes is that they’re limited ingredients. There’s just a few simple things to put together in order to create a tasty, healthy, 21 Day Fix friendly dessert! This espresso Wonder Whip includes Greek yogurt, espresso powder, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and some stevia if you find it needs more sweetness!

Mocha Wonder Whip is a must try for the coffee lovers out there. As is this dairy free coffee ice cream…It’s like an espresso Wonder Whip treat that you’ll love! I’ve had success making these with a whisk or a fork if I’m not feeling like putting in extra effort. In truth you can get amazing results and a super whipped texture with he mixer as well. If you are using this Mocha Wonder Whip as a pie filling I’d definitely recommend using the blender or mixer!

What kind of yogurt do you use in Wonder Whip recipes?

Making Wonder Whips has been a lot of trial and error for me and you’ll likely have to do the same. Because I don’t like super creamy tastes or textures I use 1% or non-fat. I only use Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt to make mine, I’ve found that I can actually eat it straight out of the container and usually don’t need to add sweetener so that was a game changer for me!

I have learned that in Canada Oikos Triple Zero comes with other sugars so I’d be careful and make sure you check to see what kind of sweeteners are in the ingredients! Remember, artificial sweeteners are not your friend because they can cause you to crave sugar and hold onto extra weight. Always check the ingredient list to make sure you understand what you’re buying and putting into your body!

For those of you on the 21 Day Fix, Oikos Triple Zero with Stevia is allowed, as is 2% Plain Greek yogurt. You can use either of those in this Mocha Wonder Whip (or any of the Wonder Whip recipes you try)!

Do I have to use yogurt to make Wonder Whips, I don’t like it?

Honestly, I’m not a yogurt fan either. Wonder Whips have encouraged me to eat more yogurt and it has changed my opinion on the food as a whole! I haven’t tried making Wonder Whip with anything else but some other readers have had success with ricotta cheese.

I would suggest you try Oikos Triple Zero with the Stevia to sweeten before you give up on yogurt for your Wonder Whip recipes though!

What kind of Greek yogurt should I use for Wonder Whips?

Plain Greek yogurt is key, especially for these savory Wonder Whips! Usually, I recommend using Oikos Triple Zero vanilla for a few reasons–it is sweetened with Stevia, and it’s not too tart. How to make Wonder Whip:

Like my other Wonder Whip recipe varieties, Lemon Meringue, Key Lime Pie, and Chocolate Mint, this chocolate peanut butter Wonder Whip is quick and easy to make. It’s a protein packed snack / dessert that is healthy and fresh!

  • Combine all ingredients and whip together with an electric mixer.
  • Taste and adjust the sweetener to your preferences (I used stevia but use your preferred sweetener).

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt (I use Oikos Triple Zero Yogurt)
  • 2 tbsp powdered peanut butter
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pinch stevia

What is Powdered Peanut Butter Counted as on the 21 Day Fix?

Cocoa powder is free on the 21 Day Fix, and looking at the nutrition information for powdered peanut butter and the 21 Day Fix guidelines, I feel comfortable not counting the 2T of powdered peanut butter used in this recipe. If you’d like to count it, you’re welcome to do so. I struggle to find one thing that Autumn or Beachbody has said (consistently) in the past about how to count powdered peanut butter. I can direct you to this post about peanut butter from Beachbody and this video from Autumn about PB2.
 
I am fully on board with the thought that you should just use peanut butter, not powdered peanut butter. BUT in this case, it’s 99x easier to whip powdered peanut butter than it is real peanut butter, so that is why I called for it here.

Can I enjoy this chocolate treat on Trim Healthy Mama? 

This THM recipe is an E and that requires non-fat Greek Yogurt. Also, for THM recipes you need to use defatted peanut flour/powder so make sure that the peanut butter powder I used qualifies! With a little tweaking this chocolate peanut butter wonder whip can be a delicious dessert or treat for Trim Healthy Mama!

Is this chocolate peanut butter Wonder Whip a healthy option?

It is a great healthy dessert option. All of my Wonder Whip recipes are made with Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt or Oikos Triple Zero Vanilla. Both of these healthy options taste great in Wonder Whip recipes and give an equally delightful texture! They’re also really protein rich which means they’ll help keep you feeling full and give you energy!

Because this particular Wonder Whip recipe also uses powdered peanut butter you get another boost of protein. With more than 30g of protein per serving this recipe is great for post workout snacks, a quick breakfast on the go, or a healthy dessert!

Can I keep Wonder Whip in the fridge for later use?

I won’t keep Wonder Whip in the refrigerator for much longer than a week. The texture just starts to get weird after awhile. If you are looking for a more long term storage option for Wonder Whip recipes you can try freezing this chocolate peanut butter Wonder Whip in the egg bites mold! What is Wonder Whip and why am I seeing it everywhere?!

Fear not! If you haven’t tried or heard of Wonder Whip yet, you are in for a treat…pun intended :) I’ve posted a couple of Wonder Whip recipes now, like this Key Lime Pie version and a tasty Lemon Pie Filling Wonder Whip. I encountered them originally while working my way through some materials for the 2B Mindset, program which is new from Beachbody. The creator of 2B Mindset and Wonder Whip, Ilana Muhlstein, shared a similar recipe initially and I just had to try it. Once I tried it I was hooked and had to come up with some variations to share with you.

How does this chocolate mint Wonder Whip fit into the 21 Day Fix & 2B Mindset?

21 Day Fix

  • 1 Red per serving (3/4 cup)

Absolutely! It’s very protein rich because of the greek yogurt and it’s clean! You won’t find any weird or strange ingredients that you can’t pronounce. It’s great for the 21 Day Fix program and 2B Mindset but it’s also great for other Beachbody programs or healthy lifestyle and nutritional goals. How long does Chocolate Mint Wonder Whip keep in the fridge?

I have successfully kept Wonder Whip recipes in the fridge for about a week. I’ve heard that people have great success with making one batch at the beginning of the week to snack on throughout the week and you can certainly do the same. Another great option is to use the egg bite molds and freeze it into perfectly sized portions that you can thaw out when you want them!

    What is a Wonder Whip?

    Good question! If you’ve seen my key lime pie wonder whip recipe you’ll notice that I encountered Wonder Whip while going through 2B Mindset, an awesome new Beachbody nutrition program. Creator Ilana Muhlstein shared a recipe for Wonder Whip on her YouTube and I just had to try it!

    I ended up loving it and I just had to start creating some of my own recipes for wonder whip that can help curb my cravings.

    How long does Lemon Meringue Wonder Whip keep in the fridge?

    I would confidently say that you can keep it in the fridge for about a week. Some people have said they make it at the beginning of the week and snack at it for the week without it going bad. I would think that it would be easy to freeze. Use those egg bite molds to freeze it into perfect portions!

    Personally I haven’t had any lemon meringue wonder whip hanging around long enough to see it go bad ;)

    It’s super easy folks, I mean, it doesn’t get much easier than two steps right?! Once you realize how easy Wonder Whip is to make, you’ll want to try them all!

    Is this a healthy lemon meringue pie filling?

    Is sure is! Any wonder whip would make a great pie filling that is healthy and delicious. One of the best reasons to use it as a healthy lemon meringue pie filling is the protein!! You can kick hunger cravings and sweets cravings with one delicious recipe. If you are taking this to a party make sure you are ready to share the recipe…people won’t believe that it’s a super healthy alternative to traditional pie fillings.

    What is a Wonder Whip?

    That’s a great question. The first time I heard about a Wonder Whip was from Ilana Muhlstein, the creator of 2B Mindset–Beachbody’s newest nutrition program. She shared her favorite Wonder Whip recipe on her YouTube channel and I decided that even though I didn’t love Greek Yogurt, I had to try this.

    I tried it and it was delicious! Very creamy, and I found that I couldn’t eat the entire thing in one sitting, it was so rich. The flavors you add make the yogurt not so tangy, and I love the different flavors you can make!

    How long does Wonder Whip keep in the fridge?

    About a week! I’ve heard that people make a few at the beginning of the week and then eat a few bites daily. I bet they would freeze well, too! Maybe in egg bite molds?? I haven’t had a Wonder Whip last long enough for this yet.

    Can you fill a pie with Wonder Whip?

    Absolutely! It makes for a creamy and delicious pie filling that is high in protein and low in sugar. Your guests will love the smooth texture, and you’ll be the hero of your party–seriously.

    How often can I eat Wonder Whips?

    Well, I’ve been eating them daily! As long as you’re watching the ingredients to make sure they don’t sneak up on you, there is no reason to hold back! For example, there is a peanut butter chocolate Wonder Whip that some people love to add real peanut butter to–if you’re eating that every day, or more than once a day, that peanut butter can sneak up on you and cause you to gain weight or maybe not lose as much as you’re wanting to.

    Can I make a Wonder Whip without a blender or mixer?

    Yes! Sometimes I just “whip” mine with a fork, and that gives it a light and fluffy texture. If you’re looking for something a little thicker, I’d recommend freezing your Wonder Whip for a bit–that might give you the texture you’re looking for!

    As the Wonder Whip sits in the fridge, it becomes a bit more firm, making for a mousse-like treat just when you need it most. I’d recommend experimenting with extracts and flavors until you find your favorite!

    Can you have Wonder Whip on the 21 Day Fix?

    Yup! The Greek yogurt counts as one red container, and then you add any ingredients you add in – don’t forget your teaspoons for the sweetener! Any recipe you find on this website will have containers already calculated for you!

    Can I eat Wonder Whips on 2B Mindset?

    Absolutely! The creator of 2B Mindset is actually the creator of the Wonder Whip, so she would approve! You should eat the Wonder Whips as part of breakfast, lunch, or if you need an after workout snack to keep it within your Plate It guidelines.

    What kind of yogurt do I need for a Wonder Whip?

    When making my Wonder Whip recipes I use Plain Greek Yogurt or Oikos Triple Zero Vanilla (watch the ingredients in Canada, it looks as if the Triple Zero Greek yogurt has sugar in it instead of Stevia, so if you’re avoiding that…). I prefer nonfat yogurt because I don’t care for dairy, or the creaminess of dairy, but I always watch for for additional ingredients that might be added in to make it nonfat.

    Oikos Triple Zero is the only yogurt I can eat without adding Stevia, because it’s already sweetened with Stevia. It doesn’t have as much protein as the other greek yogurts, but I am ok with that. I’m not normally a fan of yogurt, so I was pretty excited to find this.

    Is there a Dairy Free Wonder Whip?

    For those of you who can’t or don’t eat dairy, I’d recommend using a dairy free yogurt, like the one that Silk makes. You’ll still get the delicious Wonder Whip dessert without the dairy!

    Ingredients

    • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
    • 1 tsp lime juice
    • 1 lime zested
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1 pinch Stevia

    Optional salt to taste

      Instructions

      • Combine all ingredients and whip together with an electric mixer, blender, or even a whisk or fork. 3/4 cup Greek yogurt, 1 tsp lime juice, 1 lime, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 pinch Stevia
      • Taste and adjust the lime and sweetener to taste (I used stevia but use your preferred sweetener).
